What does your average day involve?

I usually start the day by reviewing any interesting legal developments/articles in relation to ER/IR.
The rest of the day is then spent dealing with client queries (employees and employers), and generally progressing matters (research, drafting correspondence, meeting with clients etc).
I also regularly conduct seminars for clients and HR Managers – so I often have to spend time researching and preparing for these sessions.
A part of each day is also spent dealing with management issues arising in my team or in the wider firm.

Greatest challenge facing lawyers in your practice area?

The biggest challenge over the last few years has been keeping up with the significant legislative changes in the ER/IR area.

Career Highlight?

Being promoted to senior associate and taking on the team leader role for Brisbane.

Where/What  - in 10 years?

I would like to become an accredited specialist in ER/IR and eventually run my own firm.
